The Silverman Lecture is an annual lecture, established and funded by Art and Carol Silverman, longtime friends of the Academy. The lecture was created in memory of their daughter, Cheryl Beth who tragically passed away at a young age. She was a charismatic lover of animals and music. Cheryl Beth was also extraordinarily passionate about our environment. Through the Cheryl Beth Silverman Memorial Lecture we are able to continue Cheryl Beth’s efforts to be a voice for the animals and environment she loved.
